Context

This project, part of the graduation in Product Design at Istituto Europeo di Design (IED-SP), aims to relate some of the disciplines, methodologies and techniques learned during the course to produce a conceptual lighting system that is playful and sensitive to human activity in the home environment.

The research goal was to think and design around how home appliances and systems would be affected by technologies such as wearables, the Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, and drones, considering a time ten years ahead.

Result

The Flyht System is a group of flying lamps that can interpret human activity and respond to these situations with flight and light patterns intelligently and sensibly.

The project explores technologies and concepts related to aviation, lighting, and design as a proponent of meanings and experiences.

In 2015, the Flyht System project was exhibited at “Bienal Brasileira de Design / Mostra Jovens Designers” in Florianópolis and at “Museu da Casa Brasileira”, in São Paulo.
